Royal Highland Show 2018! - M&M Championship

We never have any specific plans for anything, and as some classes linger on for far longer than the schedule would suggest, it's sometimes anyone's guess as to what's on when! At one point we stopped outside the main ring to watch the M&M championship, but we couldn't get very close for photos so moved on after a while.

As previously stated, I'm a sucker for a nice bay and what a nice one this is!

 The Overall Mountain & Moorland Championship - The 'Waxwing Trophy'.

'The Champions from following sections are to come forward for this Championship:

HIGHLAND PONY, SHETLAND PONY, MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND, ERISKAY, WELSH SECTION A, WELSH SECTION B, WELSH SECTION C, WELSH SECTION D AND CONNEMARA'

This beautiful and striking Sec C was one of my favourites.



(SO annoyed at that fence being in the way!)



The lovely palomino from the previous in hand classes was also in attendance.







...as well as this chunky beast of a Highland pony!



I may have my photos mixed up but I think this lad was in here too.



Most of the entrants were adults but there was one particularly youthful attendee... :P



There was a little grey Sec A, a tiny black Shetland and a Fell too, but I didn't get any photos of those.

The winner was Northwick Elektra, the Welsh Cob!
