Royal Highland Show 2018! Highlands and Shetlands Ahoy!

Visiting the stables is always my favourite part of the show as it's really the only time you get to physically interact with the horses, and as I don't have any other horse time these days, it's a precious resource!

Royal Highland Show 2017 - #3 Assorted Ponies!

Not that we could ever have our fill of ponies, but we decided to head off for the big barn full of Clydesdales after seeing the main ring. The route there took us past one of the collecting rings, which happened to have several tiny ponies in situ!

Royal Highland Show 2016 - #9 - Ponies, ponies and yet more ponies!

The post you've all been waiting for - lots and lots of fuzzy pony goodness!

Royal Highland Show 2014 - Part 5 - Overall Mountain & Moorland Championship

I took millions of photos as usual, all of which can be found here. As ever, feel free to take and use as reference, just remember to credit!

The Overall Mountain & Moorland Championship - The 'Waxwing Trophy'.

'The Champions from following sections are to come forward for this Championship:

HIGHLAND PONY, SHETLAND PONY, MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND, ERISKAY, WELSH SECTION A, WELSH SECTION B, WELSH SECTION C, WELSH SECTION D AND CONNEMARA'

This beautiful and striking Sec C was one of my favourites.

(SO annoyed at that fence being in the way!)

The lovely palomino from the previous in hand classes was also in attendance.

...as well as this chunky beast of a Highland pony!

I may have my photos mixed up but I think this lad was in here too.

Most of the entrants were adults but there was one particularly youthful attendee... :P

There was a little grey Sec A, a tiny black Shetland and a Fell too, but I didn't get any photos of those.

The winner was Northwick Elektra, the Welsh Cob!

Part 6 coming soon!

Royal Highland Show 2013! (Entry 1 - Highland and Eriskay Ponies)

I'm going to split this into several posts as I took so many photos in the hope that no one has their computer die on them thanks to an image overdose! XD (it also means that if any of you are looking for a specific reference you don't have to trawl through several hundred pictures of other things!)

If you'd rather just look at pictures without my commentary then may I direct you to my photoset on Flickr? I hate how they've changed the layout so apologies for it taking forever!

I'm putting the next part of this post under the cut as I took looooooads of photos and it'll absolutely kill the blog if they're all on show so click below to see lots of purdy ponies and whatnot. :D

Right, let the photo onslaught begin! XD
