Rockcliffe Holiday May 2018 (IMG INT!)

It's that time once again!

(a few weeks late but never mind XD)

I recently retired my faithful camera companion, Nigel, as after a good ten years, old age had finally caught up with him and he was no longer able to function properly. His replacement, (also called Nigel, as I'm terribly unimaginative) is a Canon 750D and he's super duper shiny, so I may have got a little carried away when it came to pictures and video...

On that note, I'd really like to start doing some video tutorials and things on youtube, so if anyone has any suggestions for things they'd like to see, let me know! :)

Anyway, this was my first chance to try out my new shiny camera and as the weather was distinctly wonderful, you can expect rather a lot of images here. I typed nearly everything out whilst I was there, so apologies for the change in tense from time to time. XD

Rockcliffe Holiday and Close Encounters of the Furred Kind

Ok, I know you're all probably more than sick of my holiday posts and can't wait for me to get back to my usual crafty stuff but this is the last one for a while, I promise...and there's cute and fluffy creatures in this so it's worth it!

I typed most of this out whilst I was there as a kind of diary thing, hence the changing tenses at times! I'm also not going to bother to split this up by the day like I usually do because I really can't be arsed and want to get it out of the way, lol, so everything's all in one big bumper post for a change.

Cold, Cats and Crafting

My cousin Ailsa was heading up Elgin way a couple of weeks ago to see her parents for a few days and as I hadn't visited in years, I tagged along too.

As our train was an early one and there wasn't one which would get me into town on time, I stayed over at her flat, passing this rather entertaining magic glowing cone/quest marker on the way.

The journey up was lovely, and we had a rather delicious brunch at Patisserie Valerie in Aberdeen upon arrival, then it was onto Clochan itself after my aunt picked us up.

Half the purpose of the visit, in all honesty, was for some much needed cat time, courtesy of the most handsome of tabbies - Miko, now aged 15!

I've got all my dates and photos mixed up a bit so I'm kinda guessing which day I did what, haha. Oh and apologies for the terrible formatting - I always try to centre the photos but instagram apparently doesn't like it. D:

The next day brought with it better weather and for virtually the first time we could actually make out the cliffs of the Small Isles in the distance.
